KARL STORZ is currently recruiting for a **Buyer Planner**. This position is responsible for Finished Goods inventory management and supply planning activities for the products in their portfolio. Most products under management are sourced from KARL STORZ manufacturing sites. Their mission is to have the Right Product, in the Right Place, at the Right Time, acquired at the Right Cost, from the Right Supplier.
The Buyer Planner is a mid-level professional position in Supply Planning. The Planner is assigned a portfolio of products. They will manage all the supply planning activities to maintain appropriate stock coverage levels that provide the highest level of customer service while working to meet the Company’s inventory priorities and goals.
This role will be based in Auburn, MA and work a hybrid schedule with 2 days per week onsite.

**Responsibilities**
- Work with Demand Planning, Marketing and Product Management to develop our demand and supply plans.
- Create purchase orders (PO) with supplier, taking into consideration established order to delivery lead time, volume discounts and effective order handling quantities.
- Verify that the supplier acknowledges receipt of the orders, their ability to deliver as requested, and at the price and terms of sale listed on the PO.
- As demand patterns shift, communicate with their supplier to expedite or de-expedite order deliveries.
- Work with members of the Transportation and Warehouse Inbound teams to help resolve transportation delays, shipment errors, and receiving discrepancies.
- Work with Quality on non-conforming product and “First Article” inspections.
- Help Accounts Payable research and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Management, peers, and cross functional team members to develop knowledge and skills.
- Communicate with Marketing and Product Management on product availability issues and lifecycle management duties.
- Reach out to Customer Service to resolve identified sales order entry errors.
- Responsible for following FDA Rules, Regulations and Guidance for 21CFR820 as it applies to purchasing and related activities.
- Support our Quality Management System.
- Initiate continuous improvement ideas to improve efficiency, service levels and reduce waste.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- 2-4 years of experience with direct or transferrable skills.
- Strong computer and systems skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and transition easily between topics.
- Above average written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid math skills.
- Results oriented, self-motivated, with time management skills.
- Travel: Up to 10% travel

**Preferred**
- Bachelor’s degree or experience in a related field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred with an advanced skill level in Excel.
- Familiar with Material Resource Planning systems and SAP experience is desirable.
