Salt Shed

: Join us as we prepare for another great summer season at The Salt Shed The Concessions Stand Worker is responsible for providing an excellent experience for our guests with quick and consistent food service.

Approximate dates of this position are between May 1 - October 31st, 2024.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The Concession Stand Worker is responsible for selling and/or building food items while providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure stand is fully stocked and prepared for service at beginning of shift, alerting supervisor of any issues
- Take food orders and serve guests in assigned concession stand
- Responsible for running a point of sale and collecting payment from guests
- Prepares and builds food items according to set recipes and presentation standards
- Adheres to established food safety, food handling, alcohol service and sanitation procedures
- Replenishes food items and ensures product is stocked to appropriate levels
- Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes workstations
- Assist with inventory of stand as needed
- Maintains excellent service, positive demeanor, friendly, efficient, for a positive experience for all guests
- Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned as the role and food operation evolves


QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

- This is an hourly, seasonal position working May 1-October 31, 2024. Hours are based on events schedule.
- State or County License or Certification Requirement (BASSET)/ Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
- Must possess or acquire ServSafe Food Handlers Certification
- Previous Supervisory experience
- Ability to work late hours
- Flexible schedule
- POS experience
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
- Skill in interpersonal communication and teamwork
- Ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety minded manner
- Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
- Flexible schedule - Must be available late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be 21 years of age or older

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

- Previous experience in Concessions or similar role is helpful

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
- Must have the ability/stamina to work long hours when required
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Will frequently be seated at a computer and key in data
- Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
- Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.

EXPECTED HOURLY: $17/hr + Tips

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Shift:

- Evening shift
- Night shift

Weekly day range:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
