**Position Purpose**:Responsible for the loading and unloading incoming trucks in an efficient and safe manner. Responsible for assembling and preparing furniture for delivery. Responsible for receiving, assembling, examining and wrapping return merchandise from returned deliveries.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for Assembling of merchandise and placing merchandise in the appropriate delivery lane by proper "stop" order.
- Unloading incoming trucks in an efficient and safe manner.
- Removing all debris from loading docks and work areas in the DC.
- Appropriately disposing of cardboard, plastic and all recyclable materials in correct compactors.
- Responsible for assisting with Customer Pick Up.
- Inspecting furniture completely for defects and damage and reporting all damaged merchandise that is not in deliverable condition.
- Covers pieces with adequate material to protect the merchandise from damage during delivery.
- Accurately” Checks-in” merchandise using hard copy manifests and computer system.
- Accurately Researches merchandise in computer and completes paperwork and/or system transaction for furniture disposition.
- Inspects merchandise visually for damage and ensures that claim information is properly captured.
- Load pulls neatly on trucks and move to the returns area.
- Wraps merchandise to be relocated in racks.
- Assisting in the performance of warehouse maintenance duties.
- Safely and efficiently operates material handling equipment.
- Performs other duties as required or requested.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be familiar with D.C. procedures.
- Must be able to see, hear, stand, walk lift and carry (i.e., merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs. about 40% of the time and over 60 lbs. about 30% of the time).
- Must be able to use simple arithmetic, read orders and ensure merchandise matches rest of order.
- Must be able to exercise caution and strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Must have hand/eye coordination and must be accurate.
