Our people here at Kopin are our most valuable asset and as part of the team you will be engaged in meaningful work The detail oriented, IQC (Incoming Quality Control) Lens Inspector will report to the Senior Operations Quality Engineer and is a member of the Quality Team. The IQC Lens Inspector II is responsible for conducting Quality Inspection of piece parts in the IQC area. They will report to the Quality Department to ensure quality and manufacturing requirements are met. The focus of this position will be lens inspection. As an LCD Lens Inspector, your primary responsibility is to meticulously examine LCD lenses to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Inspect a variety of incoming lenses per written inspection procedures. Note rejects by category, segregate and log appropriately on log sheet and or Plex
- Follow daily work schedules for all IQC/OQC work
- Ensure all procedures and specifications for IQC and production are in place; current version properly released, etc
- Assist in the disposition of MRB failing material
- Enter data into Plex tracking system for full traceability to component level.
- Supports material handling into and out of IQC including physical inventory, documentation, IQC traceability and ISO9000 audits for their area

**MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 to 3 years’ experience
- This role requires keen attention to detail, as you'll be responsible for identifying any defects or imperfections in the lenses that could affect their performance or appearance
- IQC inspection experience to include clean room and quality assurance experience
- Knowledge and certification of IQC inspection procedures on various display and module product types.
- Experience using an optical comparator, microscope and calipers

**PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
- Mechanical or electrical aptitude preferred with knowledge of blueprints or mechanical drawings.
- Experience with MIL-PRF-13830b, ISO149970 lens inspection standards are a plus

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Able to rotate from sitting to standing, lift up to 20 pounds, and gown according to clean room protocol
