The Recruiting and Scouting Analyst is a position designed to introduce the individual to all aspects of a Big 10 football recruiting department. The objective of the position is to assist the recruiting and coaching staff with all recruiting and scouting efforts including film evaluation, on-campus recruiting, and recruiting travel.

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Assist in maintaining the football database and updating all pertinent information on prospective student-athletes.
- Evaluate prospective student-athletes in accordance with NCAA and Big 10 Rules to assess ability as it pertains to Northwestern University
- Primary point of contact for certain position coaches to assist in all of their recruiting needs.
- Coordinate film review sessions with coaching staff.
- Assist in managing recruiting boards.
- Assist in gathering transcripts all on prospective student-athletes.
- Distribute writing plans for coaching staff.
- Assist with all on-campus recruiting events.
- Assist in developing relationships with High School Coaches and Prospective Student-Athletes
- Assist General Manager, Director of Scouting, Director of Recruiting Operations, Director of Recruiting, and Director of On-Campus Recruiting within all facets of recruiting.
- Responsible for adhering to all Department and University continuing education initiatives and required certifications and trainings.
- Responsible for adhering to all Department and University policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications: (Education, experience, and any other certifications or clearances)**
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently on short deadlines.
- Ability to work in both the Mac and Windows operations systems preferred.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations of the NCAA, Big Ten Conference and Northwestern University preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and effectively interact with diverse populations.
- Ability to establish engaging relationships within and across racialized and other marginalized communities
