Oem Service Tech

**Position: Service Technician**

**Department: OEM Sales**

**Position Summary**

The Service Technician provides technical and sales support to Carefree OEM’s. The position regularly calls on OEM installers and buyers to ensure current products are being installed properly and that all issues are resolved immediately. The Service Technician will communicate with internal teams such as Engineering, Operations and Sales regarding customer status and any product issues requiring immediate attention.

**Essential Duties of the Service Technician include, but are not limited to**:

- OEM Installer Support
- Providing training on proper storage, handling and installation of Carefree products.
- Providing repair service.
- Responding to, following up and documenting OEM installation, performance, or repair inquiries.
- Local travel to OEMs
- Training, communicating product changes and enhancements, delivering miscellaneous product.
- Performing audits to ensure proper OEM installation procedures are followed.
- Assisting Warranty Technicians by taking and placing technical support calls by phone.
- Performing administrative tasks including documentation of audits performed, customer calls and product issues.
- Conducting product specific technical support educational seminars.
- Assisting with returned merchandise authorizations.
- Supporting OEM product shows and rallies as needed.

**Qualifications for the Service Technician position include, but are not limited to**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of awning installation experience or equivalent technical aptitude.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.

**Compensation and Benefits**

The wage for this position is anticipated to start between $1,923.08 and $2,115.38 biweekly.
