**Job Description** Pay: $17.10 per hour + $.25 per hour shift premium pay**

**Position Summary**:The primary** **function of this position is to complete operational and pre-operational cleaning, sanitization of the plant packaging and processing machines and work areas according to USDA regulations and ensuring all GMP and quality standards are met and maintain the efficient flow of product through the production process.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Check the work schedule, receive cleaning assignment, obtain supplies required to perform the work, put on all of the required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear and prepare for operations.
- Prepare machinery for cleaning, remove materials from the machines and floors and place in the proper containers.
- Remove barrels, totes and other containers from the machine area, close valves, open doors, lids, drains and water valves.
- Breakdown, disassemble and/or loosen nuts, screws, belts, remove machine parts, conveyors, guard rails, lids, doors and guards.
- Blow down the production equipment, conveyors and machinery with the compressed air tool as required.
- Scrape material from the machine parts, shovel excess into totes and soak parts as needed.
- Use the high-pressure hoses to clean and rinse the machine and parts, squeege the floors and clear the floor drains.
- Dry tools, equipment, machines, walls, floors and re-assemble machinery as required.
- At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork.

**_ Responsabilidades del puesto_**
- _ Verifique el cronograma de trabajo, reciba la asignación de limpieza, obtenga los suministros necesarios para realizar el trabajo, póngase todo el equipo de protección personal y el equipo de seguridad requeridos y prepárese para las operaciones._
- _ Prepare la maquinaria para la limpieza, retire los materiales de las máquinas y los pisos y colóquelos en los contenedores adecuados._
- _ Retire barriles, contenedores y otros recipientes del área de la máquina, cierre las válvulas, abra las puertas, las tapas, los desagües y las válvulas de agua._
- _ Descomponer, desmontar y/o aflojar tuercas, tornillos, correas, retirar piezas de máquinas, transportadores, barandillas, tapas, puertas y resguardos._
- _ Purre el equipo de producción, los transportadores y la maquinaria con la herramienta de aire comprimido según sea necesario._
- _ Raspa el material de las piezas de la máquina, palea el exceso en contenedores y remoje las piezas según sea necesario._
- _ Obtenga y aplique la solución de limpieza y desinfección adecuada, aplique espuma a las superficies, frote las superficies y las piezas._
- _ Use las mangueras de alta presión para limpiar y enjuagar la máquina y las piezas, exprimir los pisos y limpiar los desagües del piso._
- _ Seque herramientas, equipos, máquinas, paredes, pisos y vuelva a montar la maquinaria según sea necesario._
- _ Al final del turno, asegure todo el equipo, realice tareas generales de limpieza y complete toda la documentación requerida._

**Qualifications**
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and the safety regulations
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to learn to clean different types of equipment
- Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job
- Must be able to perform all job functions safely
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must be able to understand and follow written SSOP’s cleaning procedure
- Must be able to understand MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets)
- Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to submit and pass a criminal
