Front Desk/Administrative Assistant Job Responsibilities
Friendly, self-starter, responsible, tech-savvy, ability to deal with adult mental health patients, Office operation, team player, and an outgoing personality is helpful.**
Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prior to start of day, ensure that patient charts are staged and make sure that Super Bill and E-Force is placed in each patient’s chart
- First in line to answer phone calls that may involve giving office directions, verifying patient appointment dates, canceling or rescheduling appointments and message taking for staff
- Schedule new patients by logging “ALL” required logístical information into MacPractice database and identifying new appointment date
- Forward new patient info to Insurance Verifier
- Greet and check-in patients ensuring that a copy of his/her insurance card, license or other form of identification is obtained and placed in patient’s chart
- Collection of co-pay/deductible or self-pay charge is received, logged and posted to patient ledger account
- Post payment to copay log sheet (make sure patient name, copay amount and credit card approval number is reflected on the log sheet. At day’s end total each category i.e. cash, credit card and check at the bottom of the form
- Making reminder calls for next day’s appointments
- Retrieve faxes and route appropriately
Starting Pay: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday
9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Lunch: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
