Mgr, Fundraising Campaigns

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-fueled organization whose mission is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the quality of life for the children and adults affected by these diseases. Our work is dramatically accelerating the research process through our varied research initiatives; we also provide extensive educational and support resources for patients and their families, medical professionals, and the public. In addition, we lead federal and state-based advocacy campaigns to support medical research funding and improve patient access to care. **Position Summary**:
The Manager of Special Events is a fundraising position that will oversee two annual fundraising events for the foundation - Royal Flush for Crohn’s & Colitis and Stories from the Gut sponsored by the Young Professionals Committee. This position executes fundraising strategies that generate revenue in support of the Foundation’s mission and will coordinate the logistics of these events. The Manager partners with leadership volunteers and committees to influence growth and drive success and will implement best practices and cultivate partnerships and alliances which will result in growth and awareness in the community.

This position requires 2 days/week in our Needham Heights office and 3 days remote work each week. The salary range for the role is $66,000 - $73,000 per year.

**Essential Functions & Responsibilities**:

- Take a lead role in planning, directing, and implementing two foundation fundraising special events, while also assisting the Director of Special Events with the Annual Gala event.
- Collaborate with national and local partners to meet or exceed annual fundraising goals by executing best practices.
- Recruit and engage volunteer leaders and committee members to assist in implementing the fundraising strategies that lead to revenue growth.
- Prepare and manage budget (income and expenses) and work plan (with timeline and deliverables) for the successful completion of fundraising event, programs, and activities.
- Maintain accurate and complete records and files for fundraising events, programs and activities and routinely review the status of each with the Director of Special Events.
- Oversee the production of all collateral materials related to fundraising events, programs and activities.
- Perform all other duties and tasks required to support all new and/or proposed fundraising events, programs, and activities.

**Volunteer Engagement**
- Work with leadership volunteers to identify, recruit, and engage volunteers who have potential to make an impact.
- Partner with and support volunteer committees to drive success in campaigns and grow support for our mission.
- Serve as a key leader in your market area building relationships, raising awareness, and sharing mission impact with constituents.
- Other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience in not-for-profit event fundraising, preferably within a health-related organization.
- Demonstrated success in the recruitment, engagement, and cultivation of high-impact volunteers.
- Strong leadership skills in volunteer engagement.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, with public speaking ability that will inspire and motivate others.
- Proficiency in data management with emphasis on ability to reconcile financial reports.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of OneCause and Salesforce preferred.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to teach, mentor and coach volunteers to achieve results.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with board members, volunteers, and donors.
- Self-motivated, results oriented leader with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High level of diplomacy, patience and flexibility.
