Veterinary Technician Assistant

**Primary Responsibilities**
Veterinary Technician Assistants play a vital role in supporting the Veterinarians and Technicians who provide excellent patient care. After your training is complete, your primary responsibilities will be:
- Using best practices to safely restrain pets during exams and treatment.
- Making sure the pets staying in the kennels have clean and comfortable accommodations.
- Performing in-house lab work.
- Preparing mediations with the highest accuracy.
- Updating patient records and notes regarding care in their electronic file.
- Communicating with clients about their pet’s visit and care.
**Qualifications**
- A minimum of 1 year of experience providing top-notch customer service both in person and over the phone is strongly preferred
- Truly superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to meet the needs of the person you are communicating with
- The ability to effectively prioritize and meet multiple requests at one time.
- Must be tech savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- The desire to become part of a fun work family
- **Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds**
**Hours & Availability**
This is a full time opening Your availability should align with the following:
- Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 6:30pm
- Saturday: 7:30am - 1:30pm _**(rotating)**_
- Sunday**:CLOSED**
