**PURPOSE**

Assists with Soft Gel operation encapsulation process and machines responsible for manufacturing of products according to Batch Records.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Follow the Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.’s) relating to Soft Gel and Encapsulation equipment.
- Immediately bring any discrepancy to the attention of a supervisor; and obtain approval from the supervisor before operating Encapsulation equipment.
- Spreads Soft Gels on to drying trays.
- Moves stacks of drying trays to appropriate drying rooms.
- Fills out appropriate documentation on batch records maintaining good documentation practices.
- Helps monitor machine
- Assists with Gelatin and Material change over operations
- Assists with performing In-process testing and checks throughout product runs and daily routines.
- Assists in basic cleaning of machines and production rooms following major and minor changeovers.
- Assist in getting clearances from QA on appropriate equipment and GMP rooms for processing.
- Responsible for following current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), 21 CFR Part 211 and 21 CFR Part 111.
- Other duties, which may be assigned from time to time, by management of the company.

Required for Encapsulation Operator:

- Understanding of Equipment SOP’s.
- Train on Encapsulation equipment.
- Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) over head, face, and hands, and arms.
- Works efficiently.
- Maintain neat and clean work areas.
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Assist on Dis-assembly of non-critical component machine parts.
- Assist on Assembly and installation of all non-critical component equipment parts.
- Assist with Cleaning all non-critical component machine parts equipment

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**
- Work safely around production equipment and in a manufacturing setting.
- Arrives on or before scheduled start time to properly review duties for the day.
- Able to read, write and speak English, plus perform basic math.
- Follow both written and oral instructions.
- Works well independently and with a team.
- Flexibility to work different job functions and overtime.
- Successfully pass pre-employment screenings including a drug screen.
- Knowledge and understanding of GMP’s and Pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- High school diploma or GED (General Educations Diploma).
- 3+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Able to read and follow SOP’s.
- Able to work in compliance of current GMPs.
- Able to perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Travel may be required for this position.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

This position works within an GMP Manufacturing Environment, office environment and inside the plant.
- Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning.
- Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) over head, face, and hands, and arms.
- No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in these work environments.
- Pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

While performing the duties the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and see, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
