thelab is looking for a Mid-level Video Editor/Animator to join the team.

We partner directly with clients to think big, build from scratch, and design for reality. From branding & design to ecommerce builds or anything in between, thelab mixes inspiration and hard work to produce results that mean business. At the moment, we are and will continue to be working remotely until we all feel good about returning to the office. When that day comes, you can expect regular rooftop barbecues.

Who we’re looking for:

- An editor/animator with strong After Effects and Premiere Pro skills to edit and animate content ranging from motion graphics-driven pieces to footage-based edits in a variety of genres, visual styles and budgets for delivery to a number of platforms (Social media, broadcast, GIF, etc). Workload will include public facing and private projects for agency clients, potential clients (pitch work) and the agency itself
- Editor/animators will work closely with Creative teams and must be detail oriented and comfortable with both independent and collaborative work.
- If required, support and/or collaborate with additional Editors, Designers, or Animators to create work. Examples include: Stock music/footage searches, project prep and organization, collaborative project workflows
- Someone with a sense of current editorial and motion graphics trends and styles

Qualifications:
Proficiencies in a variety of content software tools. Including, but not limited to: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator

Strong communication/organizational skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to work under pressure as a part of a small team
- Ability to collaborate with large teams when necessary
- Understanding of structure for treatments, scripts, and finished videos.
- Comfortable working long hours and weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Professional experience gained as employee or intern within an organization that edits/animates video
- Scholastic video experience focusing on video editing, design, animation and post production finishing
- Experience with self-started video/photo projects is preferred
- Film production experience is preferred

Details:

- Position is hybrid - with required in-office attendance in DUMBO Brooklyn office on Tuesday/Wednesday each week
- Salary is $80,000-$90,000 commensurate with experience
