**Meet HII’s Mission Technologies Division**
The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Port Hueneme Division (PHD) NSWC PHD Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Coordinator will be a member of the NSWC PHD team providing overall planning and execution of STEM outreach initiatives. The goal of the outreach is to expose students to STEM topics and opportunities at ages enabling an educational track preparing them for a STEM career.
**Essential Job Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with Government, industry, and academia to integrate a portfolio of STEM initiatives proposed and approved for execution.
- Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing STEM outreach initiatives and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports..
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Prepare briefs and present to multiple levels within participating organizations.
- Ability to work both in a team and individually.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
**Preferred Requirements**:
- Long-term standing in local K - 12 academia.
- STEM-related degree and/or experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate common business machines.
