The Registrar is responsible for the maintenance of student records, including attendance tracking, student files management, and regulatory compliance. The Registrar coordinates with other departments to ensure policies and procedures are followed in order to provide the highest levels of academic integrity and quality customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Updates changes in current student data, records grades, attendance, and academic progress.
- Maintains accurate student records in electronic and hard copy formats.
- Notifies appropriate personnel regarding any academic change of status (e.g., attendance, unsatisfactory academic progress issues, etc.).
- Inputs and maintains current student data in the CLASS system.
- Prepares and manages current student information for course scheduling purposes.
- Prepares and issues diplomas and transcripts for graduates.
- Maintains the privacy of student records.
- Acts as the Veteran’s Administration Certifying Official.
- Ensures that the campus adheres to all state and federal guidelines regarding the maintenance, storage, and retention of student records.
- Notifies career services of graduates in good standing.
- Generates and distributes Monthly Progress reports.
- Verifies enrollment or graduation/completion to external entities (e.g. prospective employers).
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of records management.
- Knowledge of issues related to the Family Educational Right to Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Exhibits exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, and the public.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
- Previous records management experience.
- One to two years of relevant clerical experience preferred.
