Essential Functions:
Athletics Assistant:

- Assists in administering the schools interscholastic athletic programs
- Prepares, collects and maintains equipment and uniforms; organizes team apparel stores
- Manages the scheduling of athletic events and facilities, including submitting work order

requests
- Supervises athletic practices, contests and team managers
- Perform administrative tasks in support of the Athletic Director and department events

and activities
- Assists in writing materials, promotions and communications for the athletics

department
- Assumes other duties as assigned by Athletic Director, Division Director and/or

Department Chair
- Coaches a minimum of one season per school year

LS PE & Wellness Teacher:

- Teach and manage Lower School students in physical education and wellness classes
- Implement current curriculum and contribute to its ongoing development
- Manage day to day physical education and wellness classes and activities including but

not limited to:

- Create and maintain an orderly, safe environment conducive to learning
- Maintain current and accurate student records
- Provide individual learning opportunities for students as needed
- Carry out assigned duties (bus, lunch, recess, etc.)
- Work constructively with parents and colleagues
- Inform parents and Division Director of students’ progress through written

reports and conferences
- Create and teach daily lesson plans
- Participate in all department, division and staff meetings
- Attend conferences, workshops and other professional development opportunities
- Assist with admission visits on an as needed basis

Varsity Basketball Coach:
This position is responsible for the oversight and leadership of the basketball program, including

but not limited to:

- Coordinate practice sessions, training programs, and offseasons workouts and clinics

with an emphasis on safety, athletic growth, development and competitive success
- Teach skills and strategies for competitive success
- Recruit and retain student-athletes of high athletic, academic and basketball potential to

- Assist student-athletes in the college recruiting process
- Supervise Assistant Coach and JV Coach; provide leadership and direction for middle

school basketball coaches

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred)
- Previous college or high school coaching experience in basketball is required and

experience with knowledge of college recruiting process
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all members of School community
- Ability and desire to maintain and consistently exemplify the highest standards of

professionalism, leadership, and sportsmanship is required
- Certification in Physical Education and Health (preferred), previous teaching experience

in physical education and/or health and wellness preferred
- Flexibility to teach in different grade levels and divisions
- Technology proficiency
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work with students, staff, administration, and parents
- Knowledge of appropriate safety measures to ensure the well-being of student-athletes
- CPR/First Aid certification

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

- Adequate physical mobility, dexterity, strength, and endurance to perform the functions

of the position
- Sit, stand, walk and run for required periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken and/or written word
- Daily exposure to moderate noise level
