**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Sitemap Analyst is a unique position focused on architecting website structure and strategy based upon best practices, data analysis, marketing strategy, and client objectives. The Sitemap Analyst facilitates client discovery interviews, conducts site traffic and usage research, hosts findings and sitemap presentations with project stakeholders, and provides site organization recommendations. This process improves overall site performance by enhancing discoverability, findability, usability, and search engine ranking potential.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
KEY RESULT AREAS:

- Conducts project research to fulfill sitemap recommendations (including keyword research and Google Analytics)
- Collects, updates, analyzes, and presents data to clients and stakeholders using Looker Studio, Microsoft Excel, Google App Suite, and other tools
- Provides recommendations for improved website performance through both research and knowledge of the website and database tools available through Simpleview

KEY TASKS:

- Effectively communicates and collaborates with internal staff
- Develops sitemaps using information architecture, user experience, and SEO best practices; including research, experimentation, and revision
- Builds client rapport to better understand the client’s key performance indicators and existing marketing strategy to complete in-depth research
- Contributes to internal creative brief development and understands business objectives and target audiences
- Presents research findings and recommendations to clients, implements feedback, and secures client buy-in on site structure
- Works with Developers to identify potential website issues that may hinder new website performance in search engines, including duplicate content, crawl issues and sitemap issues
- Represents Simpleview positively and maintains a high level of client satisfaction
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and practices in sitemap development and search engine optimization
- Analyzes and utilizes web analytics to improve the sitemap creation process
- Communicates internally with the CMS Project Management, Experience Design, CRM, implementation, customer success, and sales teams and explains the role the sitemap development process plays in the overall website build and redesign process
- Completes assignments on time and under budget

**REQUIREMENTS**:
A four-year degree is preferred, but not required. Self-education through alternative programs, courses and classes is welcome. The successful Sitemap Analyst must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Professional experience in SEO and web design
- Strong technical and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Experience with conducting initial keyword research, analysis and selection
- Experience with manipulating web analytics data
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment without degradation of quality
- Ability to learn abstract and complex SEO concepts
- UX formal skills are not required, but are a plus.
- Adaptability and willingness to change with the department and its priorities as it continues to evolve
- Understanding or interest in developing knowledge specific to tourism, travel, and website design industries
