**Reports to: Operations Director**

**Hours: School Year-Monday-Friday 2:00-6:00pm**

**June-end of August-40 hours**

**Responsibilities**: Is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting the Lakeshore and Main Center school buildings in Sheboygan. This includes the kitchen, gym, halls, classrooms, bathrooms, and offices. All Head Start and State Daycare Licensing Standards for maintaining a clean, healthy environment will be followed. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations for schools will also be a guide for our cleaning regime. Will also provide maintenance throughout the school building as needed.

**Duties**:
1. Each bathroom will be cleaned. This includes wiping down and disinfecting toilets, floor, sinks, and handles. Will make sure that soap dispensers are full and toilet paper and paper toweling is fully stocked.

2. Clean and disinfect classroom tables, chairs, garbage cans, and light switches.
3. Clean up spills and other mishaps in the classrooms.
4. Wipe down handles, railings, and any other items that are frequently touched often during the day.
5. Vacuum offices and take out garbage.
6. Other duties as requested.
7. During school breaks (Christmas, Spring, and Summer), cleaning/waxing floors and shampooing carpets.
8. Power wash outdoor play equipment at least once a year.

**Qualifications**:
1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Must be 18 years or older.
3. Must have current driver’s license and be able to drive from site-to-site if needed.
4. Speaking and writing skills that enable effective communication.
5. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
6. Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
7. Must be able to use a buffer and carpet shampooer.
8. Must be able to work irregular hours occasionally.
