**Position summary**

The Security Manager encourages and ensures the safety and security of the facility, its occupants, and its assets. The Security Manager works towards this goal through managing the operations of the H5 Data Center Support Technician Teams and Facility Management; creating, implementing, and evolving physical security training and procedures; and project management of physical security tools and equipment.

Security Manager reports directly to the Director of Compliance. Must be willing to provide on-call support for other locations. Requires some travel to review other national locations.

**Essential Job Functions**

1. Safeguard the H5 national Data Centers, their occupants, H5 and customer assets.

2. Oversee and manage H5 Security vendors, security operations standards, escalations, and leadership.

3. Create, implement, and evolve H5 Security Policies, Procedures, and Standards nationally.

4. Encourage and enforce compliance of H5 Data Centers Policies and Procedures, H5’s ISMS, and any applicable State and Federal Laws.

5. Denver property facilitator of Honeywell-ProWatch Access Controls System and DNA Fusion.

6. Manage and/or assist with management of AccessH5 Portal and the VMS.

7. Ensure proper logging, filing, and retention of physical security records and invoices nationally.

8. Management of standard national property lock/ key plans and implementations.

9. Collaborate with H5 Team on new build outs, prospective customers tours, and any other topics as it relates to physical security.

10. Develops, plans, and executes innovative measures to achieve continuous improvements in physical security and customer service.

11. Participate in Security team and security infrastructure improvements at all H5 sites as directed by H5 Corporate.

12. Develop and manage National H5 safety campaign and standards.

13. Participates in the planning, development and implementation of training, drills, and exercises.

14. On-Call for emergency response team and escalations.

15. Attending industry conferences and increasing awareness with new standards within H5.

16. Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

**Education**:
1. Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.

2. Must have demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

**Experience**:
3. At least five years’ experience in asset security surveillance

4. Law enforcement or military background preferred.

5. Must possess one or more of the following:
a) Associate degree or higher in any discipline

b) Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard

c) Service in auxiliary police or police cadets

6. Minimum of four years verifiable and successful security management experience

**Skills and Abilities**

1. Technical aptitude for working with computers and able to work with Microsoft Office package and Internet portals.

2. Experience with physical access control and building monitoring systems including CCTV.

3. Experience with intrusion and life safety systems.

4. Experience/ knowledge of physical intrusion barriers and familiar with certifications and levels.

5. Security team management experience and scheduling of shifts.

6. Effective oral and written communication skills, ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.

7. Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively, identifying critical issues quickly and accurately.

8. Must be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.

13. Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military.

14. Able to work indoors and outdoors, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat.

15. Able to lift 50 lbs. when required.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Associate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- security management: 4 years (preferred)
- Law enforcement: 1 year (preferred)
- security surveillance: 5 years (preferred)
