In a manufacturing environment, the Quality Assurance Quality Control (QAQC) Technician: verifies product performance specifications using specialized QC/inspection test equipment on the manufacturing line; ensures that the manufacturing processes and products meet the Company’s quality specifications and that customers receive products that are fit for use; and analyses test results and interprets data to identify problems or trends as a basis for planning remedial action and minimization of waste.

- workers when necessary and be a self-starter; be able prioritize key tasks; be able to effectively communicate with team members as well as technical and maintenance staff; and must always work in a safe and responsible manner and ensure the safety of colleagues.
- Follow and implement precise instructions and operating procedures to ensure conformity and repeatability of manufacturing processes.
- Draw samples of products and conduct quality control tests to monitor processing and to ensure standards are met.
- Document and update inspection results by completing logs and reports.
- Keep measurement/test equipment operating correctly by following operating instructions and calling for timely repairs.
- Conduct calibration and preventative maintenance of instruments.
- Conduct quality assurance testing with analytic instrumentation: Viscosity, glycerin gravity density, pH meter, Conductivity meter, UV spectrometer.
- Confer with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency or product quality.
- Ensure full compliance/at all times follow plant safety procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred: Associates degree or higher, preferably in STEM area.
- Quality control experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS
- Familiar with Viscosity, TOC, pH, Conductivity and other analytical instrumentation.
- Computer skills especially Microsoft Office: Generate, document and report using MS Office / Excel. Excellent Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting trends.
- Understanding of chemicals and safe handling - composition, structure, properties of substances and chemical interactions.
- Mathematics: numerical manipulation of numbers and quantities; basic statistics.
- Keen attention to detail, monitoring and calibration.
- High level of intuition and ability to recognize differences and changes in processes.
- High level of visual awareness, able to recognize and discover flaws in raw materials and manufacturing membrane, document and communicate with operators/ production team for corrective actions.
- Advanced organizational skills and time management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiar with inspection techniques and quality standards.
- Ability to understand and interpret QC instrument and control system readings.
- Able to write and review standard operating procedures (SOPs).
