The Shipping and Receiving/Forklift Driver performs a variety of duties within the Dawn’s Foods Facility. The Driver strives to confirm all materials received to comply with Dawn’s Foods policies, procedures, and guidelines. Shipping and Receiving/Forklift Driver must receive and record all materials and/or products arriving at the receiving warehouse within the Dawn’s Foods Facility according to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Follow all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and Safety procedures, policies, and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly working area.
- Ensure outside vendors comply with Dawn’s Foods policies, procedures, and guidelines, specifically, verification of BOL/Packing Slip requirements.
- Ensure purchase orders are entered accurately with a current expected received date, quantities, and pricing. Notify the Purchasing Department of any revisions needed when applicable.
- Systematically receive and process purchase orders.
- Work as a team along with other members of the crew.
- Verify the receipt of materials and/or products.
- Document any damages to the product on the BOL; notify appropriate personnel when applicable.
- Follow Inbound Damage Process, when applicable.
- Notify the Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies of materials and/or products being received, immediately notify them of any damages, incidents, near misses, or equipment failures.
- Report food safety concerns and any violations of company policies to management.
- Successfully completed all required training. Training may last from a few weeks to a few months. Training also involves operating specific equipment, following company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Work is conducted within a large, open floor Production area.
- Loud machinery, requiring workers to wear ear protection to guard against noise.
- Frequent exposure to excellent to cold temperatures for long periods.
- Workers are required to wear hair and beard nets, and gloves to protect the product from possible contamination. Workers are also required to wear and are provided personal protective equipment such as frocks and nonslip shoes/boots.

**Educational Requirements**:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prior experience is preferred.

**Physical Demands**:
Continuously standing. Frequently walking, kneeling, lifting between 0-10 pounds, using major hand movements to finger, handle, feel, grasp, grip, twist, turn, push, and pull. Occasionally sitting, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling. Occasionally climbing stairs. Occasionally working with arms extended at shoulder level, reaching with hands and arms, and working with arms above shoulder height and occasionally lifting between 25-50 pounds. No crawling, climbing ladders, or repetitive foot movements as in foot controls.

**Mental Demands**:

- Detail oriented, being_ able to follow receiving procedures related to materials arriving closely.
