**The Role**

The Mat Tech field technician is a skilled hourly position in which the technician will be responsible for performing multiple of Mat Tech’s field operations. The individual will be the face of Mat Tech in the field and assisting drivers/operations team deploy rental assets and help ensure that jobs are executed smoothly.

This role is an excellent introduction Mat Tech operations, policies and procedures. Mat Tech is a small and growing team, with excellent opportunity for advancement and growth as the company expands.

This is a full-time job located on site in Alvin, Texas.

**REPORTS TO**: Operations Manager

**EDUCATION**: high school diploma or equivalent required, Class A CDL or desire to obtain one is a plus. Must possess a TWIC, or have the ability to get a TWIC card upon hiring. Passing the Basic+ Safety course is a plus.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**: 1-5 years of field operations experience, strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude.

**COMPENSATION**: $18.00-$25.00/hour (DOE), Attractive Benefits.

**SKILLS/ABILITIES**:

- Industrial Rental and Transportation Experience a plus
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Self-Starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High energy, with a passion for maintaining/retaining relationships with internal and external clients and vendors.
- Comfortable working on the phones and with computers.

**PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Performing yard maintenance and other assigned tasks
- Take waste samples from the job location to labs or disposal sites for analysis
- Inspect locations and job sites before job activities commence
- Act as a spotter and/or supervisor with driver on-site
- Minor vehicle and rental asset maintenance
- Delivery / Pickup of portable sanitation assets
- Service portable sanitation assets in the field
- Setting berms, hoses and other rental assets as needed
- Assist operations manager in performing inventory counts
- Other tasks as assigned by the operations manager
- Experience hauling a trailer behind a pickup truck
- Ability to be on call over nights, evenings and weekends for emergency calls.
- Performs other related duties, as required.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
