Medical Receptionist

Job Position: Medical Receptionist - 40 HOURS - MONDAY - THURSDAY ONLY
**Job Description**:
- Provide clerical support to all aspects of patient care.
Responsibility and Duties:
- Greet patients entering office.
- Verify and document patient demographic information in EMR.
- Scan insurance cards into patient chart.
- Verify and document insurance information in EMR.
- Verify patient referrals according to insurance requirements.
- Ensure all proper paperwork is filled out and completed, including but not limited to: release to treat, medical history, release of information.
- Capture digital signatures for all digital paperwork including but not limited to: financial policy, HIPPA, and consent for treatment.
- Answer phone in timely manner and triage calls to appropriate personnel if necessary.
- Schedule office visits according to policy.
- Schedule new patient consult requests according to clinical staff determination of need.
- Filing and scanning of patient information as needed.
- Scheduling incoming consult requests according to policy.
- Verifying eligibility and pre-authorization of procedures as needed.
- Any other duties as assigned by Office Manager.
- Complete patient requests in a timely manner.
- Respect and protect privacy as outlined by Intergrated Medical Group, PC Policy and Procedures, as well as HIPAA regulations.
- Report problems with equipment or office space to Practice Administrator.
- Maintain open communication with Clinical Coordinator and Practice Administrator regarding patient flow.
- Promote positive image of Integrated Medical Group, PC by demonstrating courteous, professional, and compassionate care to patients and their respective families.
- Assist with any other duties as assigned by Practice Administrator.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- High school or equivalent (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
- Computer Skills: 1 year (preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- Lancaster, PA 17603: Relocate before starting work (required)
