**Bella Terra Home Health and Hospice of the Desert is growing and looking for experienced, compassionate Hospice Aide (HHA) to join our team** As a Hospice Aide with Bella Terra, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while receiving strong compensation and excellent benefits.

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Hospice is a paraprofessional member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs. The home health aide is responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed
- Provide Personal Care
- Assist patients with dressing and undressing
- Nail & Skin care to prevent breakdown
- Assist the patient with toileting activities
- Keep patient’s living area clean and orderly
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals
- Assist in feeding the patient
- Take and record oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure
- Assist in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care
- Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service
- Assist patient in the self-administration of medication
- Do patient’s laundry
- Meet safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools,

side rails, etc.)
- Report on patient’s condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Active Home Health Aide Certification through CA Department of Public Health
- Maintain a current CPR certification
- Hospice experience preferred
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
