Specimen Collector

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Specimen Collector to join our team. As a Specimen Collector, you will be responsible for collecting, witnessing, and processing specimens in a medical setting. This is a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely testing for patients.

**Duties**:

- Perform specimen collection procedures, including venipuncture, capillary puncture, and urine collection
- Follow established protocols and guidelines for specimen collection and handling
- Prepare specimens for transport to the laboratory
- Maintain accurate documentation of specimen collection and processing
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Assist with inventory management of collection supplies
- Provide excellent customer service to patients during the collection process

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in specimen collection preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with laboratory processes and specimen handling
- Ability to perform cardiac catheterization, spinal taps, and other specialized procedures as needed
- Basic life support certification is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends if required

Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
