**Summary**

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for efficiently and effectively entering vendor invoices, processing payments, expense classification & analysis, capital expenditures, and processing daily invoices to customers. The Accounts Payable position is a key component in our overall business success.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as necessary from time to time.

1. Receive, enter, and process daily all vendor invoices, ensuring proper approval and supporting documentation.

2. Execute weekly check run and electronic payments.

3. Process sales & use tax monthly.

4. Perform month-end close of accounts payable and designated expense reporting.

5. Complete weekly budget update.

6. Complete weekly Margin Report.

7. File all accounts payable invoices by vendor and maintain files.

8. Track regular monthly invoices on budget board.

9. Participation in job-related training as required.

10. Accounts Receivable backup as needed.

11. Other duties as assigned.

**Education and/or Experience**

1. Accounts Payable experience preferred

2. Requires education equivalent to a high school diploma

3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

5. Must be organized and be detail-orientated

6. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be able to meet daily deadlines

**Mathematical Skills**

**Language Skills**

This position requires the ability to read and comprehend instruction, correspondence and memos. Individual must have the ability to write correspondence and to effectively present information to groups of all sizes.

**Physical Demands**

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and listen. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

**Work Environment**

The Work environment characteristics stated here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to the following environmental factors: cold weather in the winter, heat and humidity in spring, summer, and fall, wet floors and stairs.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
