The Application Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and coordination of small, medium and large information systems implementations. Plans, directs, schedules and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters. Analyze hospital needs for information systems; assist in the selection and development of systems. Provides mentoring for Application Analysts and Informaticists.

The IS Compliance Program Manager ensures that CMC IS operations, systems, and procedures meet government and industry compliance standards. The program manager remains knowledgeable of all local, State, and Federal regulations that impact healthcare IS operations and ensures CMC maintains compliance. Works closely with CMC’s Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) on compliance and regulatory programs within the IS scope of responsibility. Creates detailed project plans for the organization to achieve compliance before the rule’s effective date and maintains policies and procedures to ensure maintained compliance for assigned projects.

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, Healthcare, or equivalent experience in related field.
- PMP Certification desired.

**Experience**:
**Level I** - Contributes to and participates in management of projects, using standard methodologies, including: planning, executing, and closing projects; coordinates activities and resources across multiple functional areas; assures that projects are meeting time, cost, quality and customer requirements.

**Level II** - Independent management of projects, using standard methodologies, through all phases: pre-project, initiation, planning, executing, and closing; integrates activities and resources across multiple functional areas; assures that projects are meeting time, cost, quality and customer requirements. Coordinates, schedules and leads standard status meetings as well as ad-hoc discussions.

**Level Senior** - Independent management of programs and projects, through all phases: pre-project, initiation, planning, executing, and closing; integrates activities and resources across multiple functional areas; assures that projects are meeting time, cost, quality and customer requirements. Serves as primary point of contact between CMC and project vendors. Develops and maintains standard project management methodologies and tools; acts as technical expert and department resource for project management. Leads all project meetings; works directly with vendor on contractual issues and questions. Develops and recommends improvements to departmental and/or customer operational workflows. Provides input to Directors and/or CIO related to performance and evaluation of team members.
