Full time food service Manager position available at Windham Middle School. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
**ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
- Manages daily school food service operations
- Supervises duties of cafe worker ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures and regulations.
- Follows established guidelines, procedures, standards and regulations of the District, the National School Lunch/Breakfast Program and Department of Public Health.
- Procures foods and related supplies and maintains inventory
- Assists in the preparation and service of food. Preparing, cooking, serving and accounting for nutritious meals to students and staff.
- Checks the quality and temperature of prepared foods before service.
- Is familiar with food service computer functions.
- Operates a variety of kitchen and office equipment
- Communicates effectively in both verbal and written form.
- Follows all HACCP Plan mandates including completing checklists and following standard operating procedures.
- Performs related work as assigned or required.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One (2) year experience in Food Service required in either a school setting, high volume restaurant or institutional setting
- ServSafe preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
Days: Monday - Friday
**Salary**: In accordance with the CSEA contract
