Shampoo Assistant

**Job description**

We are looking for a Shampoo/ Styling Assistant to assist our lead stylist and team members with prepping guests for hairstyling and coordinating day-to-day salon activities. To be successful in this role, you should be interested in beauty trends, fashion, and hairstyling. Ultimately, you will support our team to provide quality services and an optimum customer service experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Shampoo and prep guests for styling.
- Chat with customers, learn their preferences and build good relationships.
- Accommodate guests to assure optimum service.
- Monitor stock of beauty products.
- Book guests for appointments.
- Recommend products and services.
- Update guest information in our systems.
- Take videos and photos to advertise our services on social media.
- Gather feedback from our clients and make sure they have a pleasant experience in our salon.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Taking photos and assisting with Social Media.

**Skills**
- Salon experience or familiarity with salon equipment and tools.
- Experience in customer service is a plus.
- Up-to-date with hair trends (e.g. colors and styles).
- Basic knowledge of Apple Software.
- Familiarity with social media.
- Record-keeping skills.
- High School Diploma or Beauty School Experience is a plus.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift

**Education**:

- High school or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Cosmetology License (preferred)
