**Job Title**:Concrete Cutting Operator

**Reports To**:Operations Manager

**Direct Reports**:N/A

**Position Summary**

The incumbent operates a variety of equipment used in construction. S/he must perform a safe and effective, saw, cut and drill openings in concrete, for the construction industry in order to allow access for multiple purposes (pipe, electrical, fire prevention, etc.).

**Duties and Responsibilities**

▪ Perform saw cutting with core drill, handsaws, slab saws, and wall saws.

▪ Vacuum slurry and remove concrete when required with hand removal, handcarts, machine removal and/or using other methods.

▪ Dispose slurry and concrete at designated jobsite locations or concrete crusher.

▪ Maintain equipment and/or vehicles clean, report equipment needs and repairs to Operations Manager.

▪ Communicate with customer contact on site as to what the operator is needed for, any issues, needs to complete the job, and job completion.

▪ Offer solutions and alternatives when needed to complete the job.

▪ Identify potential risks and hazards while working in the field, and communicate them management.

▪ Utilize proper PPE at all times, in adherence to Company policy and other project standards.

▪ Actively learn and obtain job-related information via observation and direction from supervision.

▪ Collaborate with supervision to prioritize, organize, accomplish work tasks, and meet both daily and weekly schedules.

▪ Complete and submitted work orders to the office personnel.

▪ Facilitate knowledge transfer and teaches trade skills to less experienced operators.

▪ Understand safety procedures and keep the team following the appropriate rules.

▪ Ensure all team members have the required tools/equipment to perform their job duties.

▪ Maintains appropriate Company confidentiality at all times.

▪ Protects the assets of the Company and ethically upholds the Code of Conduct in all situations.

▪ Operates, cultivates and promotes a Sterling Concrete Cutting safety culture/program.

▪ Represents the Company which consistently exemplifies and maintains a professional attitude at all time.

**Work Environment**

▪ This position operates primarily in a construction jobsites environment, which can mean exposure to weather, extreme temperatures, potentially harmful materials or chemicals, airborne particles, fumes, odors, noise, and/or other conditions typically associated with a live construction site.

▪ Work task may also necessitate the regular use of medium/heavy equipment and basic hand tools.

▪ This position operates on indoors and outdoors jobsites is expect that operator prepared for high or low temperatures.

**Travel Time**

▪ This position requires regular drive to local job sites.

**Minimum Qualifications**

▪ Must be at least 18 years of age.

▪ Graduation from high school, vocational school, or training equivalent.

▪ General knowledge of construction activities/industry.

▪ Ability to work with hands and use construction tools.

▪ 2 years of experience and safely operate core drilling and saws (hand, slab and wall).

▪ Ability to take instruction, adapt and resolve problems.

▪ Willing, ability to work day, nights, overtime, weekends, and rotating schedules on an as-needed basis.

▪ Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with diverse audiences.

▪ Valid driver license.

**Preferred Qualifications**

▪ 3-5 years of experience in the use of medium and heavy equipment operation/driving.

▪ Industrial experience, including auto mechanics or machinery.

** Company pays 90% of all Health Insurance premiums including for family after 90 days of employment.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift

Work Location: Multiple locations
