**This is a Full-Time position, with hybrid working hours - you would be required to work onsite as needed and great benefits**

**Work Location**:Sentara Independence

The domain architect proactively and holistically leads and supports EA activities that guide the development and management of domain and infrastructure solutions. These solutions enable the organization’s future-state business capabilities and drive the organization’s targeted business outcomes. Technologies include data centers, infrastructure, cloud, mobile, AI, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, edge computing, and immersive experiences technologies.

Domain architects provide the leadership, facilitation, analysis, and design tasks required for the development of an enterprise’s technical and infrastructure architecture. Domain architects create deliverables that help develop target-state guidance (standards, guidelines, individual parts, platforms, and configurations) for evolving the technical infrastructure across the enterprise, in order to enable business strategy and deliver targeted business outcomes. They enable and orchestrate the delivery of targeted business outcomes by facilitating and making technical decisions.

Responsibilities typically include
- Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from the manager.
- Coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower-level professionals.
- Problems faced are difficult and often complex.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsible for network planning, design, and optimization. Responsible for network maintenance including on-site troubleshooting, hardware installations and hardware maintenance as needed. Develops strategies and direction for network systems solutions using current and emerging technologies. Translates business requirements into network or process designs. Plans and recommends network hardware, systems management software and architecture. Approves and modifies network design and architecture to ensure compliance. Configures and maintains routers and switches for the network. Evaluates and recommends new products, maintains knowledge of emerging technologies. Proactive in assessing and making recommendations for improvement. Performs troubleshooting procedures and designs resolution scripts.

**Job Requirements**:
Experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree

8+ years of relevant experience with a degree

10+ years of relevant experience without a degree
