**Position Overview**: We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Brookwood Gardens Nursing and Rehab Center. As an OTA, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to provide exceptional care to our residents. Your role will involve implementing therapy programs and ensuring the highest quality of life for our residents through tailored occupational therapy interventions.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Support Therapy Programs**: Collaborate with occupational therapists to implement customized therapy programs based on individual resident needs.
- **Therapeutic Interventions**: Administer therapeutic exercises, activities, and modalities to enhance residents' motor skills, coordination, strength, and independence in daily living activities.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of residents' progress, treatment plans, and interventions according to facility and regulatory standards.
- **Communication**: Communicate effectively with the therapy team, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and progress tracking.
- **Education and Support**: Provide education and guidance to residents and their families on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and strategies for maximizing independence.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Preferably experience working as an OTA in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility setting.
- **Knowledge**: Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and practices related to geriatric care.
- **Interpersonal Skills**: Excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- **State Licensure**: Current state licensure
