Rental Sales

**_BASIC FUNCTION:_**_ _Responsible for greeting customers, making them feel comfortable and ensure that the experience they receive makes them want to return to Koopman Lumber and tell their friends about their experience. Tasks include repair and maintenance of various types of equipment, waiting on customers, answering telephone inquiries, and maintaining safe working conditions and procedures._

**_Availability to work until store closes (6:00PM) a plus._**

**_RESPONSIBILITIES:_**_ _
- _Greet customers when they enter the power / rental areas_
- _Facilitate all aspects of rental transactions: quoting, reserving, renting, returning equipment_
- _Train customers in usage of rental items as needed_
- _Placing replenishment and parts orders and keeping inventory current_
- _Repairing and building of hydraulic hoses_
- _Sharpening, repairing, and building of chain saw chains, blowers etc_
- _Sharpening of lawn mower blades_
- _Responsible for delivering/picking up rental equipment, mowers, snow throwers, etc. (if over 18 years old)_
- _Minimal repair and maintenance of customer and store equipment as needed_
- _Overall maintenance of work areas and display areas of the product lines we carry and repair_
- _Interacts in a positive, pleasant and prompt manner with customers in person and on the telephone_
- _Provides the highest level possible of service to all customers with the main objective of serving our retail customers_
- _Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the products sold and rented, product usage, product prices and new products on the market in the small engine fields_
- _Maintains stock, cleans, dusts, displays and faces products for assigned areas_
- _Attends and participates in all company-sponsored training programs as required_
- _Promotes team concept_
