**ROLES/TASKS OF THE POSITION**
- All design/drafting work will be done in AutoCAD & Inventor environments.
- Assist with the development of Texas Quality design standards. Create standard parts and installation drawings and organize the information for use on multiple projects as needed.
- Assist project management and sales teams with part, subsystem and total design ideas, drawings, and material lists.
- Work closely with technical sales team to obtain a clear understanding of project specifications and requirements.
- Represent Texas Quality in client or subcontractor meetings as requested.
- Support shop staff throughout project construction phase.
- Organize field data and create as-built drawings as required.
- Participate (as requested) in marketing, estimating, and bidding on selected projects.
- Ensure all company drawing standards are adhered to throughout the project.
- Assist with material procurement as requested.
- Submit expense reports monthly for all company expenses.
- Follow safe work practices during all activities.
- Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- Technical college degree (preferably Engineering) or 5+ years welding and fabrication industrial design experience
- Good organizational skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Computer literate and competent using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
- Proficient with AutoCAD
- Experience with Inventor preferred.
- Self-starter with willingness to learn and contribute

- Keyboarding/typing
- Ability to read effectively from a computer screen and/or paper copy
- Ability to manage a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally
- Occasionally working in hot, humid environments. Willing to visit and work (short term) in industrial environments including power plants and refineries.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders and inspect structures at heights.
- Lifting of up to 50 pounds, bending, and stooping
- Ability to pass drug test and participate in random drug testing program.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
