Statement of Job:
This position is a full-time (40-hour work week) and is on a 10-month work calendar. A typical work year is August 15 through June 15. Additionally, this position requires frequent travel, as well as evenings, weekends, and possible holidays hours.
**Essential Duties**
- Assures a positive and purposeful experience for the athletes, assures robust involvement, community engagement, and leadership development opportunities; assure these opportunities address diversity, equity, and engagement priorities.
- Performs efficient, appropriate, and effective recruitment activities as well as appropriate use of resources and engagement for performance.
- Conducts high-quality teaching in a humane learning environment.
- Monitors and promotes the academic and personal growth of student-athletes.
- Coordinates the team strength & conditioning/off-season training programs to minimize injury and maximize safe competitive performance.
- Develops and manages program budget and scheduling within parameters.
- Operates program in a manner consistent with NCAA bylaws.
- Develops and manages fundraising.
- Develops and maintains alumni support for the program.
- Works collaboratively with the assistant coach.
- Recruits and supervises student workers (manager/other support).
- Engages in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices.
- Provides additional support in the following areas, including, but not limited to:
- strength and conditioning support
- admissions work
- athletic alumni relations/development
- out-of-season event management
- special events/projects/initiatives
