Animal Emergency Clinic of Rockford is located in Rockford, IL. Our goal is to Provide top-level veterinary care. We are a busy 24-7 emergency/urgent care facility that services the surrounding counties with top-level veterinary care. We work with the local area vets to service the community.

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support for our furry friends. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals enrolled in a Veterinary Technician program.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of kennels and surrounding areas including laundry and general clinic cleaning.
- Feed, water, and walk animals according to their specific needs
- Restrain animals for technicians and doctor's ensuring safety of animal and staff.
- Stock supplies throughout the clinic.
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners visiting the facility

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred
- Knowledge of basic animal care practices and restraint
- Familiarity with various breeds of dogs and their specific needs
- Ability to handle animals safely and confidently
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment independently working as a team.

Pay: From $14.50 per hour
