The primary responsibility of the Hotel Sales & Catering Manager is to cultivate top accounts through engaging relationships via multiple contacts, travel, presentations, and prospecting to secure group business with function space and food & beverage events to increase casino revenues and maximize average daily room rate.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Prospects new accounts to generate new revenue opportunities for the casino
- Cultivates top accounts through engaging relationships via multiple contacts, travel, presentations and prospecting
- Responsible for telemarketing/cold calls, weekly follow-up correspondence and in-person sales calls
- Attends trade shows, client presentations, sales meetings and educational seminars
- Manage the properties catering and events to ensure an exceptional experience to all external and internal customers
- Develop and write catering proposals, contracts and event orders; schedule catering events in online system; respond to client and guest questions; and work toward achieving sales goals
- Cultivate and maintain a list of preferred vendors
- handles sales and customer service issues including providing timely correspondence, researching, resolving and clarifying invoice questions; and providing knowledgeable and appropriate suggestions regarding menu selections
- Directs others in the completion of a task or assignment. Renders advice and provides expertise or judgment based on information gathered, studied, analyzed, or reviewed
- Arrange a timeline to complete tasks and department assignments or projects and meet the deadlines related to those assignments
- Works on projects or services to help achieve the objectives of the department
- Focuses on achieving the goals or objectives of the department using available resources (staff and budgetary)
- Evaluates the schedule or timelines related to the completion of assignments while maintaining service and/or product quality
- Develops staff skills to enhance department effectiveness and manages resources to eliminate excess costs or unnecessary expenditures
- Performs the duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program and the regulations prohibiting service to minors and/or intoxicated persons
- Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
- Check availability for group enquiries, consult with revenue for pricing, prepare and send out sales proposals in a timely manner

- Ensures compliance with departmental and overall property policies and procedures
- Ensures compliance with Illinois Gaming Board internal controls
- Responsible for divisional or departmental compliance with all Illinois Gaming Board rules and regulations
- Possesses a working knowledge of all department and company policies and procedures
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

- High School diploma or GED- **required**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Related Field AND two (2) years Relevant Supervisory experience
- **required**
- OR Four (4) years' experience in a Relevant Management position
- **required**:

- OR Three (3) years' experience in a Supervisory position with Wind Creek Hospitality
- **required**
- Three (3) years hotel sales experience or similar role
- **required**:

- Good writing and verbal communication skills

- Ability to speak multiple languages - preferred
- Casino Hotel experience
- preferred
- Must be computer proficient and have extensive knowledge in working with Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other hotel-related software

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for the entire shift
- Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
