MHC Healthcare is seeking a BH Clinical Director to join the Behavioral Health team at the Counseling and Wellness Center, located in the heart of Marana, AZ. The BH Clinical Director provides direction to the Behavioral Health (BH) Clinical Supervisors and their respective programs and teams, and is accountable for BH program outcomes. MHC Healthcare is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 17 sites in Tucson and Pima County. Our mission is to improve our Community by providing exceptional, whole-person healthcare.

**The following qualifications are required**:

- Master’s Degree in Social Service field
- 3 years’ experience supervising Behavioral Health staff
- 7 years’ progressive Behavioral Health experience
- Licensed as an independent practitioner with the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LISAC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- First Aid certification (may be completed with MHC upon hire)
- Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Current Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance (39-month MVR will be run by MHC)

**The following qualifications are preferred**:

- Experience with State Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) system, AHCCCS Complete Care (ACC) health plans, and community resources
- Experience with adult and child services

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if applicable and must be directly related to the functions and body of knowledge required to successfully perform the job.

**This position has the following supervisory responsibility**:

- Manages and monitors work performance of a division or department through direct reports and their teams, including evaluating work objectives and effectiveness, establishing broad organizational goals, and provisioning work and staffing assignments for the department.
- Proven effective leadership with demonstrated ability to effectively direct, delegate, motivate, and build high-performing, collaborative teams.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Thorough knowledge of State, RBHA, ACC requirements.
- Ability to cultivate a culture of respect and service excellence through professionalism, skilled communication, and demonstrated commitment to integrity, trust, respect, and equity.
- Thorough knowledge of current versions of DSM and ICD.
- Demonstrates cultural competence and commitment to supporting and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through work performance and professional interactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with key internal and external leaders, partners, suppliers, and customers.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provides ongoing supervision of clinical staff, licensed and unlicensed, to ensure quality of care is present not only in direct services but in documentation as well.
- Provides management oversight to both adult and children programs.
- Responsible for Clinical Supervisors and associated teams, including management of annual evaluations, clinical interventions, client issues or complaints, and agency issues or complaints.
- Responsible for the quality and quantity of work completed by assigned Clinical Supervisors and their respective teams.
- Works with assigned Clinical Supervisors to ensure clinical team members’ identified deficits are addressed and successes reinforced.
- Builds effective professional relationships between Clinical Supervisors, promoting collaboration and coverage as needed to ensure the continuous ability to provide service delivery to meet the needs of the communities served.
- Maintains a caseload that is manageable but allows for maintenance of director responsibilities regarding programs, staff, and clients.
- Assists Clinical Supervisors and staff when appropriate in the navigation of the RHBA/ACC systems.
- Leads Clinical Supervisors to ensure quality clinical documentation is accurate and properly recorded.
- Oversees training requirements to include RBHA/ACC changes in process or documentation.
- Assists in the preparation of all agency audits by reviewing charts, and ensuring timely assessments, service plans, and service delivery.
- Provides direct client services consisting of therapeutic services to individuals, groups, and family members, ensuring contact and documentation are maintained according to guidelines.
- Works in tandem with other BH Clinical Director(s) and Clinical Supervisors to forge a solid team aimed at quality services for clients and exceptional leadership and mentorship for staff.
- Works collaboratively with the Behavioral Health Quality (BHQ) team to identify and address areas of improvement related to documentation in the clinical record.
