The Maintenance Tech is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with the day-to-day operational and maintenance needs of the Second City. We are looking for someone who is punctual, dependable and detail oriented.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. This role is primarily weekends but may have occasional weekday requirements.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
- Equipment Management
- Track and discard lost & found items
- Track and store equipment/product deliveries
- Maintenance of products and spaces
- Janitorial responsibilities (as needed)
- Assist with immediate on-site projects
- Complete product installation requests and troubleshooting
- Minor repairs (as needed)
- Set-up and breakdowns for classes and/or events
- Verify each space has sufficient chairs, supplies and/or equipment
- Be available to assist with any malfunctions in the spaces
- Set-up and breakdown all equipment used for classes/events
- Inventory of class equipment (mics, amps, etc.)
- Lock up closed areas of the building
**Qualifications**:
- Janitorial experience (a plus)
- Proactive and solution-focused
- Can adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Time-management skills required
- Flexible availability (willing to work mornings, evenings and weekends)
- Must be able to lift 25lbs or more
- Climb stairs, ramps and ladders occasionally during shift
- Bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties
