**Location**

The Watergate Hotel is centrally located in Washington, D.C., a city of political power, prestige, and elegance is culturally rich with theaters, museums, architectural splendors and unforgettable national memorials. The Watergate Hotel is situated within walking distance of the best the city has to offer.

The Watergate Hotel is currently seeking talented Server to join our dynamic Food & Beverage operation

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of direct server experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant or hotel setting. Those with luxury hotel server experience will be preferred.
- Must possess superior food knowledge including varied ingredients, preparation techniques and cuisine styles; must have prior experience in pairing food with wine, spirits, beer, etc.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that will include early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be a superior communicator with fluency in English required; those with bi-lingual abilities will be preferred. -Current TIPS certification is required; if your certification is not current, you must be able to successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
- A High School Diploma is required; college degree preferred.
- Must have prior experience with up-selling and be able to inform guests of dining options resulting in a memorable dining experience for all Watergate guests.
- Must be physically able to meet the demands of the position such as carrying/lifting heavy trays during service; walk/stand for extended periods of time while on shift; must be able to climb/descend stairs with trays, etc. while on shift.
