: The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) will be responsible for the residential education and hall operation of 200-bed residential community on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus to ensure that each resident has the opportunity to succeed academically and personally. This position is responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and learning-centered environment through key responsibilities: residential education and curriculum, community development and standards, programming, coordination and support of living-learning communities; staff selection, training and supervision; advising student organizations; crisis management, on-call response; and day to day operations of the residential community including occupancy management and resident communication. This position requires frequent and meaningful interactions with students in a variety of settings and regular visibility within the community.

The position will report directly to the Assistant Regional Vice Chancellor for Student Success at the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus and will directly supervise live-in student staff. This position is expected to collaborate closely with the Director of the Student Center and Director for Housing Operations and Outreach (Tampa campus) for occupancy management and residence hall operation responsibilities. This is an on-campus live-in position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Community Engagement and Programming:
Promote, participate, and oversee night, evening, and weekend programming and events on behalf of Housing & Residential Education, Student Success, and other university initiatives. Develop intentional student interactions and programming focused on the curricular experience, including implementing a residential curriculum that seeks to create a meaningful residential experience Ensure that all residents feel included and welcomed by overseeing and being invested in academic, community, and personal initiatives in collaboration with other Student Success staff and/or university departments. Initiate frequent and substantive interactions with students in a variety of settings (including meetings and events) and be regular visibility within the community. Serve on various departmental, campus, and/or university-wide committees and task forces. Educate residents about University and Housing & Residential Education policies, University Student Code of Conduct, regulations, rights and responsibilities and promote student accountability Document, investigate, monitor, and track conduct cases within the residential community using conduct database Serve as a Hearing Officer to adjudicate student conduct cases and assign sanctions, as appropriate.

Supervision and Advising:
Provide supervision to student staff and support them in their areas of assigned responsibility. Play an integral role in the recruitment, selection, training, and evaluation of all staff members. Coordinate ongoing training and development of student staff team as they manage student referrals, roommate conflicts, and other low-level situations. Facilitate weekly staff meetings, disseminate information. Conduct quality individual one-on-one meetings coaching and developing staff. Serve as the primary advisor to the residence hall council.

Occupancy Management:
Collaborate with Housing Assignments Team to maximize building occupancy including facilitation of assignments, room changes, consolidations, cancellations and completion of occupancy verification and non-registration checks. Oversee the move-in/out and transition processes. Oversee the summer conference and events services experience for guests. Participate in department marketing and communication initiatives, calling campaigns, and assist with HRE social media accounts.
