Truss Designer

Job position: Truss Designer Intern

Trussman LLC is looking to add a motivated individual to our design team.

Job Description: Design trusses according to standards and current building code.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Read and interpret architectural and structural truss drawings.
2. Produce individual truss designs and final layouts for roof or floor plans.
3. Provide engineering support to clients when needed.
4. Work with project manager to ensure individual client needs and expectations are met.
5. Resolves truss problems according to engineering specifications.

Preferred skills and experience:
1. Alpine Software experience
2. Strong computer drafting skills
3. Strong communication skills, written and verbal
4. Strong math skills
5. Ability to handle multiple tasks

Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

**Education**:
High School diploma or GED (required)

College degree (preferred)

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
