**Material Handler**

**In these roles**: The Material Handler role is to facilitate the movement of all materials through the factory; put away activities in the warehouse, picking orders for assembly and preparing to move to manufacturing area and other warehouse duties pertaining to organizing and general upkeep of the warehouse. Receiving material from vendors and shipping product to customers.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**:

- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms and warehouse.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, stockroom, or other areas.
- Assist other stockroom, shipping, receiving and warehouse workers.
- Prepare materials for shipping by pulling, packing, crating, and loading.
- Perform cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Ensure that all materials are accurately accounted through any movement within the site and maintained in Ciao’s MRP system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Ability to provide local intercompany deliveries with Company Van, as needed.
- Perform Inventory transactions in Ciao’s MRP system.
- Kitting of Materials to support production.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
- Flexible, adaptable, and versatile
- Knowledge of inventory control is a benefit; cycle counting, Kanban, order picking etc.
- Ability to lift objects of various shape, sizes, and weights; lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sort, check count and verify part numbers
- Availability to work flexible schedule, with possible overtime and weekends when needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with cross functional team members.
- Experience with stockroom layout and daily maintenance within a stockroom environment a plus.
- Uncompromising attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Results oriented.
- Problem solving skills a plus
- UPS and FedEx shipping software experience a plus.
- International Shipping experience a plus.

**To perform this job successfully**: an individual must possess the following skills/knowledge and abilities. The requirements below are a representation of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to be successful in this position.
- Must be a US Person as defined under US Government DFARS as applicable and able to work legally around ITAR controlled products
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Work in a manufacturing environment and able to set/meet required production goals
- Effective communication skills, must be able to read and write fluently in English
- Experience with the handling/tune/test/inspection of RF & Microwave Amplifiers preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools for inspection, i.e. height gages, calipers, micrometers, microscope, etc.
- Familiarity with MIL-Standard requirements a plus

**EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE**

High school diploma required as a minimum

Or +2 years on the job training and secondary schooling directly related to the position, i.e. technical, skilled trade, etc.

Starting Hourly Salary Range: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
