Summer Sports Camp Counselor- Temp Position

Beginner's Edge Sports Training is searching for **Camp Counselors** for our Summer Sports Camps. We run a multi-sport camp program where kids can exercise and gain exposure to a variety of sports and athletic activities. If you are an athlete, educator, or just enjoy working with children, this is a perfect fit for you. There is also a possibility for this position to convert to a permanent part-time position.

**Dates**:
May 28-August 2
- Love working with children as much as they love all sports
- BIG personalities
- Works well in a team setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Loud and energetic
- Well-rounded in sports
- Extremely reliable and punctual
- 1 year experience teaching or youth coaching experience (preferred)
- Looking for a part-time or seasonal position

**Requirements**:

- Have or be willing to obtain Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card before starting date
- Be willing to complete CPR and First Aid certification before starting date
- Be able to commit to weekly schedules
- Be able to stand and walk for at least 1-hour increments
- Be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement curriculum-based activities for multiple sports, including but not limited to: Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Track, Football, and Volleyball.
- Reliably transport and set up provided sports equipment
- Instruct sports-based activities with an emphasis on skills advancement
- Ensure activities are conducted in a safe and organized manner
- Work in a team setting
- Maintain active supervision of groups up to 25 children
- Maintain attendance records of groups
- Manage student release after classes are over
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary play area and facility

**Hours**:
Summer break camps run 10 weeks May 28-August 4
- Monday through Friday 8:45 am - 4:15 pm.
- Full day shifts are preferred
- Limited Half day shifts are available 8:45 am - 12:30 pm or 12:30 pm - 4:15 pm

**Location**:
BEST Sports Center 7432 E. Tierra Buena Ln. Scottsdale, AZ. Additional locations may also be available.
