**Community Outreach Specialist Job Description**:
Samaritan Place of Restoration (Samaritan Place) is seeking a talented and professional part time community outreach coordinator to oversee and maintain all community outreach activities.
You will need to be a self-motivated individual, enthusiastic and about uplifting the community through engagement. In this role, you will need to have a positive attitude, be a team player and be willing to engage all community members from all levels of society. You will also need to profess that you are a Christian.
The Samaritan Place of Restoration is a Christian company, and it is important that the applicant share those views as well as proclaim to be a Christian. The foundation of the company is built on Matthew 25:35 and 36. "For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me".
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Plan, coordinate, oversee and maintain a calendar of community outreach activities. Including but not limited to events, workshops, appearances, and communication opportunities.
- Prepare and maintain annual budget for community outreach activities.
- Leverage and foster collaborative community relationships (old and new).
- Organize and oversee special events, including but not limited to fundraisers, volunteer/donor appreciation events.
- Oversee donor participation, as well as oversee donor management system. Including but not limited to donor name(s), means of contact, and other pertinent information.
- Attend outreach events at different community locations to distribute materials, including but not limited to libraries, churches, community centers, and social programs.
- Effectively promote Samaritan Place of Restoration to increase awareness of efforts in the surrounding community.
- Utilize social media to announce and promote Samaritan Place community events
- Provide accurate reports to the founder of Samaritan Place.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field. (preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience within a nonprofit organization/fundraising or outreach activities.
- Excellent written and oral skills, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, positive, team player attitude.
- Knowledge of social media and other marketing platforms.
- Detailed oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
**Salary**:
- $19.00-$22.00/hour.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (required)
Ability to Commute:
- Wilmington, DE 19801 (required)
Ability to Relocate:
