Construction Superintendent for Public Works

**Aventura Construction Corp.**, a leader in the _Commercial & Environmental Construction Service _Industry and specializing in public works opportunities, is looking for an intuitive **Construction Superintendent with a strong background in Public Work experience **to join our team on a full-time basis. Current project we are looking to staff is in the Westchester, New York area.

**Responsibilities**:

- Direct and supervise projects and crews, keeping timesheets and sign in records for crew and visitors
- Act as liaison and coordinator between contractors, subcontractors, and onsite client personnel
- Provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel
- Track and communicate progress of project by producing daily reports, schedules, inspections, RFIs, providing progress updates, and participating in internal and client meetings.
- Develop and manage job schedules (e.g. two-week lookaheads, etc.); coordinate work scheduling with workers, contractors and deliveries with suppliers and ensure inspections are scheduled appropriately
- Perform daily inspections of work performed
- Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient

**Requirements**:

- Must have experience with Public Works, minimum of 5-7 years of experience; strong background in Public Work preferred
- Must have experience working with trade unions on PLA projects
- Expert knowledge of all aspects of project including civil, structural, and MEP
- OSHA 30 and SST required
- Strong communication skills, critical thinking, complex problem solving
- Working knowledge of computers with use of Excel, Word, MS Project and ProCore (preferred)
- Ability to work on project sites (must wear PPE)
- Must have valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on the job as needed for job site visits and meetings
- Working conditions require the employee to constantly stand, walk, sit throughout the work day; project sites may range from low-level to high-level noise, occasional lifting (5 to 50 pounds)
