**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) acts as the clinical supervisor for all home-based therapy and ABA services. The BCBA is responsible for conducting functional behavioral analysis, developing behavioral plans, and promoting the efficacy of implementation of all in-home treatment and programming for clients on their caseload. Duties include training and supervision of all direct care staff, monitoring of service plan implementation, providing feedback and supervision to ABA Lead therapist/ Treatment Coordinator, and collaborating with family, caregivers, and all service providers to provide cohesive continuity of care.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
AccessPoint RI Children’s Clinical Services has assigned the following roles and responsibilities for each of the Service Components of the ABA program:
**Screening and Intake**:

- Review intake materials and provide feedback and support to the Lead Therapist/Treatment Coordinator and family regarding the assessment of the child's status and identification of goals and objectives.

**Assessment and Development of Service Plan**:

- Review referral material, as well as all other relevant documentation and assessment material.
- Responsible for the development in behavior support plan and programming for each client based on the client’s needs.
- Collaborate with family and caregivers in the development of behavior support plan and strategies
- Conduct functional behavior assessments & recommend positive behavior supports for children with Autism Spectrum and other related disorders.
- Creates objectives and prepares clinical reports evaluating progress toward treatment objectives.
- Provide direct and indirect feedback and support to the family, as appropriate, regarding the prioritization of the child’s needs; the articulation of the goals and objectives within each of the APRI Children’s Clinical Services domains; a description of strategies that are most likely to assist the child, family and worker to attain desirable outcomes; and the easiest and most effective means of documenting progress.
- Review, approve and sign the Treatment Plan prior to submission to the appropriate MCO
- Respond in writing to requested clarifications/information from MCO in compliance with program standards.

**Service Plan Coordination and Implementation**:

- Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy of consumer-directed care as identified in the ABA standards and Agency policy and procedures.
- Review child progress notes weekly.
- Work closely with the ABA Lead Therapist/Treatment Coordinator in providing direct services for the client as well as provide the needed resources and guidance to assist ABA Lead Therapist/Treatment Coordinator in the development and implementation of behavior protocols.
- Trains Lead Therapist/Treatment Coordinator on caseload programs and interventions for them to support the rest of the team, as well
- Ensure that all treatment methodologies are evidence-based and reflect the most recent research findings.
- Supervise and evaluate direct care staff performance to ensure proper implementation of treatment plans and behavior protocols.
- Provide training and support for direct support staff regarding ABA skills, strategies, and procedures.
- Provide feedback, direct training, and support to client and family at home and community-based visits
- Duties are performed primarily in clients' homes in the presence of the parent, and caregivers.
- Provide supervision, consultation, and technical assistance to the Lead Therapist/Treatment Coordinator about his/her service coordination activities.
- Provide consultation and technical assistance to the Family Supervisor about promoting effective supervision of the ABA Worker.
- Contribute to family and Agency coordinator competence to implement service strategies that stabilize the child’s health condition, decrease challenging behaviors, increase adaptive skills, help maintain the child in the home, and promote the achievement of the Behavior Support Plan by offering direct technical assistance/recommendations, or suggesting specific training opportunities.
- Participate in face-to-face consultations with the family to review the status of goals and objectives identified in the service plan for a minimum of one hour every month for HBTS and a minimum of one hour on a bi-monthly basis for PASS or as authorized by the service plan.
- Provide additional periodic consultation and technical assistance to family and Agency to improve functioning in each of the HBTS/PASS domains.
- Promote the participation of the child in clinical consultations as appropriate.
- Create and maintain contemporaneous records of all service contacts with family, child, DSW, and Agency staff, and peripheral agencies.
- Other duties
