**Job Summary and Qualifications**:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our healthcare team in the capacity of Pre/Postop Secretary. You will perform clerical and receptionist duties and deliver exceptional customer service to our patients, their families and the staff of your unit. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner

**In this role you will**:

- Participate in the unit based Quality Improvement process.
- Demonstrate knowledge and respect of patient rights to privacy and protection of patient confidentiality.
- Organize and communicate patient care activities to the patient and to the Registered Nurse.
- Complete, execute and perform secretarial tasks such as, Order Entry, filing and organizing patient charts and medication orders.
- Demonstrate an understanding of patient charts, physician orders and nursing orders.
- Demonstrate an understanding and be proficient in the use of a computer and office equipment.
- Maintain the unit in optimal operating condition by cleaning general work stations and stocking of supplies.

**Job Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- BLS - AHA Healthcare Provider required
- Unit Secretary skills preferred
- Medical terminology preferred
- This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
