**Anticipated Opening**:
Response to Intervention (RTI) / Special Education Teacher
St. George School is a community-centered PreK-8 public school located in picturesque
Midcoast Maine. We are committed to academic excellence, community engagement,
Expeditionary Learning, and teachers working in teams to innovate, educate, and develop as
professionals.
We are looking for a teacher to provide special education and regular education interventions
to students in grades 3-8. This position will primarily focus on special education programming
for students in grades 3-5, but will also support the implementing of our Multi-Tiered System
of Supports (MTSS) and work with some students at the middle level
We need an innovative educator who understands how to use data to inform instruction, is
knowledgeable about curriculum and assessment, and can deliver individualized instruction to
students. who can collaborate closely with classroom teachers, the special education team and
support staff. This position requires someone who can excel at communicating with students,
families, and staff.
This position requires a K-8 Teacher of Students with Disabilities (282E) and Maine
Department of Education Criminal History Records Check certifications. Applications will be
