**Description**
**Responsibilities**
1. Receives prescriptions, with appropriate follow up on rejected claims.
2. Completes third party prior authorization requests and verifies prescriptions.
4. Addresses and rectifies denied claims.
5. Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- HS/GED; Associates degree or higher preferred
- 1 year of retail pharmacy technician experience
- 3 years of health care related billing and/or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Registration with the Board of Pharmacy upon hire
- PTCB (Pharmacy Technician)
**Compensation Statement**
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $23.01 - $35.85 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
