We are seeking a **Server **to become an integral part of our team. Position offered is part time for dinner time. We are a well established and busy Italian Restaurant Voted #1 Italian Restaurant 12 yrs in a row in O.C. Register. You will take orders, serve food at the two indoor dining rooms and patio; and side work assigned to shift.

**Responsibilities**:

- Serve food and beverages to guests in a safe manner.
- Duties include but not limited to: Perform station opening/closing duties and side-work on each shift
- Explain to guests about menu items, so needs to know menu by proper training.
- Greet guest within 2 minutes and follow all service steps.
- Clean and prepare the dining areas or assigned section.
- Clear tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware and silverware (pre-bussing)
- Present bills and operate POS system, we'll provide training time.
- Greet and make all guests feel welcome at the restaurant
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely fashion
- Serving a section of tables, as determined by management
- Checking identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages; refusing to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age
- Perform other restaurant duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- At least six months experience as a server in a full-service restaurant, with experience serving Italian food is a plus.
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs., and continuously bend, reach and twist; you’re constantly on the move and on your feet.
- Ability to build rapport with guests
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Working in a team environment with the ability to be an effective team player
- California food handler’s card required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years old (to be able to server beer and wine)
